本日は言葉を交えず、1825年製のオリジナル・フォルテピアノが紡ぎ出す純粋な音の景色をお届けします。

演奏するのは、デオダ・ド・セヴラック作曲『休暇の日々から』第2集より「ショパンの泉」です。

華やかな舞踏会と、水のいのち

曲は、水のいのちが弾けるような、極めて瑞々しい前奏から始まります。 そこから目の前に広がるのは、この世の華やかな舞踏会。優雅で幸せに満ちたサウンドが、ワルツの三拍子のリズムを優しく、そして華麗に包み込みます。

スパークする、ショパンの暗い影

しかし、曲の半ばでその景色は突如として一気に暗転します。 ここに表現されているのは、タイトルにも冠された「ショパン」という人がその生涯に抱えていた、そこはかとない暗い影です。美しくも力強いメロディを通して、彼が一瞬の内に閉じ込め、固く封印してきた感情の渦が、まさにこの場所で激しくスパークするのです。

新しい次元へと誘う招待状

闇がすべてを覆うかと思われたその時、突如として新しい扉が開かれます。 光の粒を散らすような、長く続くトリル。それはまるで、再び舞踏会へと引き戻す招待状のように響き、私たちを全く新しい次元（ディメンション）へと誘っていくのです。

歴史的なフォルテピアノが描き出す、水のきらめき、内なる影、そして光の交錯。どうぞ目を閉じて、皆様の心の奥底でこの舞踏会を味わってください。

【The Bursting Life of Water and Sealed Shadows: Séverac’s “Chopin’s Fountain” and the Trill that Opens a New Dimension】

Hello everyone, this is Megumi Tanno. Today, there are no spoken words—only the pure, visual soundscape woven by the 1825 fortepiano. I present to you Déodat de Séverac’s “La fontaine de Chopin” (Chopin’s Fountain) from his suite En Vacances (Holidays), Book 2.

A Glamorous Ball and the Life of Water

The piece begins with a prelude that sparkles like the bursting life of water itself. The world it subsequently reveals is a glamorous ball, where elegant and joyous sounds gently and beautifully embrace the rhythm of a waltz in 3/4 time.

The Spark of Chopin’s Dark Shadow

Yet, halfway through, the scenery suddenly plunges into darkness. Here, the subtle, lingering dark shadow of Chopin—the very namesake of the piece—is vividly expressed through a melody that is as powerful as it is beautiful. The raw emotions that had been locked away and tightly sealed for a moment fiercely spark and ignite right here.

An Invitation to a New Dimension

But just as the darkness seems to take over, a new door suddenly opens. A continuous, shimmering long trill emerges. It acts as a radiant invitation back to the ball, guiding our souls out of the shadows and into an entirely new dimension.
