【総集編】シューマン『子供の情景』第1曲〜第7曲「トロイメライ」通し演奏と、次なる森への招待

これまで毎週少しずつ紐解いてきた、シューマン『子供の情景』の奥深い世界。今回は、第1曲「見知らぬ国と人々について」から、前半の頂点とも言える第7曲「トロイメライ」までの通し演奏をお届けいたします。

これまで各曲の解説トークでお話ししてきたように、この曲集は単なる「子供向けの可愛らしい小品」ではありません。
瞬間的に色を変える魔法のペダルワーク（第4曲「おねだり」）や、自己成長の旅路としてのビルドゥングスロマン（第5曲「みちたりた幸福」）、そして白昼夢の真実と「今ここ」へのグラウンディング（第7曲「トロイメライ」）など、そこには大人の私たちが失いかけた豊かな感情のレイヤーが幾重にも重なっています。

1曲ずつ切り取って味わうのも素晴らしい体験ですが、こうして続けて演奏することで、シューマンが描きたかった「見えない劇場（Invisible Theater）」の物語が、ひとつの大きな波となって押し寄せてきます。

[Omnibus] Schumann’s “Kinderszenen” No. 1 – 7 “Träumerei” Complete Performance & Invitation to the Next Forest

Hello everyone, I am Megumi Tanno.

We have been exploring the profound world of Schumann’s Kinderszenen (Scenes from Childhood) piece by piece. Today, I am very happy to present a continuous performance from No. 1 “Of Foreign Lands and Peoples” through No. 7 “Träumerei” (Dreaming), which serves as the pinnacle of the first half.

As I have shared in the talk segments for each piece, this collection is far from being just a series of “cute little pieces for children.”
From the magical pedal work that instantly changes colors (No. 4 “Pleading Child”), to the Bildungsroman of self-growth (No. 5 “Quite Happy”), and the truth of daydreams grounding us in the “now and here” (No. 7 “Träumerei”)—these pieces are layered with rich emotions that we adults often lose sight of.

While savoring each piece individually is a wonderful experience, playing them consecutively reveals the overarching narrative of Schumann’s “Invisible Theater” as one continuous, magnificent wave.
I hope you will experience the immersive quality of this continuous performance, feeling the warm resonance of the 1825 Johann Krämer fortepiano that seems to vibrate the very air of the room, along with the serene concentration that filled the hall.

And starting next week, an entirely new musical journey will begin!
We will welcome the wonderful musician, Professor Michael Tsalka, as a guest to launch our new series: Forest of Dreams: Fantasies and Dances by Franz Schubert, performed on an original 1830 Rosenberger fortepiano.

Through the incredibly intimate dialogue of piano four-hands, we will listen closely to the “eternal spring” and “human dignity” left behind in Schubert’s final year. Next week, we will start by sharing a trailer that encapsulates the essence of this new world. Please look forward to it!
